Guwahati News Desk: The Kamakhya Railway Station in Maligaon, Guwahati is a prominent railway junction in the state capital. Dozens of trains pass through almost everyday, through Kamakhya Junction.
Now, this railway station is to have major renovation courtesy Ministry of Railways. New facilities would add to the all-round betterment of Kamakhya. Kamakhya railway station in the vicinity of Guwahati is planned to be re-modelled with facilities of World class standard by N.F. Railway. Shri Anshul Gupta, GM/NFR inspected the location and site-plan with senior officials and advised officials to expedite the work.

The Northeast Frontier Railway has Five Divisions namely, Tinsukia, Lumding, Rangiya, Alipurduar & Katihar & at field level these Divisions are directly responsible for Train operations and reports to General Manager, according to the official website of NFR.
It adds, each of these Divisions is headed by Divisional Railway Manager, a Senior Administrative Grade officer of the rank of Joint Secretary to Government of India.
