Guwahati News Desk: Karnataka Water Resource Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has resigned after a sex scandal video went viral on the internet.
The video was released on Tuesday where Minister Jarkiholi was caught on camera with a woman in a compromising position, as on the next day the Minister forwarded his resignation letter to Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.
Jarkiholi was from Bharatiya Janata Party and represents Gokak in Karnataka Legislative Assembly.
In the resignation letter the minister wrote, “On moral grounds, I have sent for resignation as far from the truth an immediate investigation should be made on it as I believe that I am innocent.”
