Guwahati News Desk: The portals of the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand is closed for devotees from today due to the arrival of winter season.
On the closing occasion, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and Chief Minister Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh were present.
A huge snowfall begins at Kedarnath on Sunday night which continued till morning today.
Both the CMs arrived at the temple on Sunday to offer their prayers and discussed about the reconstruction projects at Kedarpuri.
During the closing time, the priest performed Samadhi Puja of Lord Shiva. Around 1,35,023 pilgrims visited Kedarnath this year despite restriction for COVID-19.
