Guwahati News Desk: An FIR was lodged at Geetanagar Police Station by a lady against one Himadri Baruah who threatened to kill her in front of Guwahati Central Mall at Zoo Road n Guwahati City on Tuesday.
According to the sources, Himadri Baruah the accused called the lady on her mobile and further threatened to kill the lady with a sharp weapon.
Based on the FIR, Guwahati Police immediately rushed on the spot and apprehended the accused person and also managed to recover a sharp weapon (dao) from the accused.
The entire action happened in a span of 30 minutes from the receipt of information.
An FIR was registered against the accused with Case No. 412/2021, u/s 447/379/354/325/307/506 IPC as the accused person has been arrested and was produced before the Court.
Earlier, on the same day, the accused person also outraged the modesty of the victim and physically assaulted her in the parking area of Central Mall when she was there with her friend.
