Guwahati News Desk: The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder price has increased by Rs 25.50 across the nation on Thursday.
The updated cost of the LPG cylinder is Rs 883.50 in Guwahati City.
On the other hand, the commercial LPG cylinder price has been increased by Rs 76.
The increasing price of the LPG cylinder across the nation has created a tense situation among the family. The rise of commercial LPG prices will also affect the restaurant and hotel businesses as they have already faced a hard time during the ongoing pandemic.
In the last several months, the LPG prices were increasing rapidly which has affected specially single earned families.
In conversation with Hello Guwahati, a Guwahatian said, “Hike in LPG cylinder is a worrying thing for a middle-class family like us. I need to pay around Rs 50 for home delivery which will cost me a total amount approx Rs 950 for a cylinder”.
Another resident of Guwahati said, “We received less subsidiary amount like before but the availability of LPG cylinder is found more. For the availability of cylinder, the black business of LPG cylinder was reduced”.
