Guwahati News Desk: A massive incident took place after a man tried to commit suicide climbing an electric post at Gorchuk in Guwahati on Sunday.
According to the sources, the man who climbed the electric post is a residence of Hajo of Kamrup Rural district.
During the time of the incident, the local residence of Garchuk suspected the attempt of suicide after watching a man climbing an electric post. The person stayed for a long time in the post since Sunday evening.
Soon after the incident, Garchuk Police immediately rushed on the spot and successfully rescued the man along with the SRDF team.
State Power Minister Bimal Bora visited the site on Sunday night to take note of the massive incident and also reviewed it.
After, the man was rescued from the electric post was taken by minister Bimal Bora in his car and handed over safely at Garchuk Police Station.
