Guwahati News Desk: Manipur government amid the rising cases of coronavirus has announced imposing a night curfew from 8 pm to 4 am daily with immediate effect.
Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar issued an order which states, “in order to reduce unnecessary movement and intermingling of people and as the number of infections has increased exponentially in the last fortnight, the decision to impose the curfew was taken.”
Whereas, essential services like pharmaceuticals, fire, hospitals and officials on COVID-19 related management will be allowed to move freely.
Manipur’s Friday COVID tally has been recorded as 29, 610 with 165 active cases.
