Guwahati News Desk: A massive blast took place at Sahebmarra area Hailakandi district along the Assam-Mizoram border ahead of Independence Day on Friday.
A state-run educational institution was damaged in the massive blast and suspected the explosion was carried out by miscreants from Mizoram.
According to the sources, the blast took place at Sahebmarra LP School and severely damaged the wall of the primary school.
No casualties were reported from the blast site in Hailakandi yet.
According to the locals, the blast carried out by the miscreants of the other side of the border but a panic situation caused in the region.
Soon after the blast, police officials immediately rushed on the spot to take a stock of the situation whereas the department has started it’s investigation to find out the depth of the blast.
