Guwahati News Desk: Managing Director of Industrial Cooperative Bank of Lakhtokia branch Subhra Jyoti Bharali was arrested by Guwahati Police on Sunday for alleged involvement in a bank fraud scam.
According to the sources, Bharali was sent to three-day police custody and was charged for his alleged involvement in a bank fraud scam of Rs 50 crore.
An FIR was registered against the Managing Director of Industrial Cooperative Bank Subhra Jyoti Bharali by the President of Citizen Rights Protection Forum Bhadrashwar Barman at Pan Bazar Police Station on September 15.
After the registered of the case Bharali fled away. Earlier in a previous case, Bharali was even granted bail. Bank employee also filed a complaint against Bharali.
As per sources, besides Bharali, complaints was also registered against seven other employees Rajeshwar Das, Ganesh Deka, Rinku Barman, Mohit Chandra Barman, Naren Chandra Medhi, Mukul Talukdar, and Anil Chandra Kalita.
