Guwahati News Desk: The Rajasthan Police on Monday arrested four including two minors in connection with the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl in the Jhalawar district of Rajasthan.
The minor girl was allegedly raped by nine people for eight consecutive days at different times and in separate places in Jhalawar.
However, on Friday, the victim managed to flee and reached home. The police on Monday reported that a formal complaint has been lodged.
According to Manjeet Singh, DSP at Suket, “The girl alleged that her friend Bulbul and another youth, Chothmal, took her to Jhalawar city on February 25 on the pretext of buying a school bag for her.”
“The victim further alleged that a few people joined them at a park where she was drugged and then raped,” the DSP added.
The DSP further added that a medical examination of the girl was conducted and four accused have been arrested so far. A hunt is on to trace the other accused persons.
