Guwahati News Desk: Guwahati Police and Guwahati Traffic Police have put all their efforts towards their duty during the COVID-19 pandemic as they were monitoring the movements of the people in the roads.
Guwahati Police and Guwahati Traffic Police combine fined Rs 2,48,000 from the COVID violators by not following the ply of odd-even, using the mask, commuting after curfew hours, and others on Wednesday.
The Police department has made a strict observation in the city against the norms violators as multiple checking points were set up across the city like Bharalu, Khanapara area, Guwahati Club, Chandmari, etc many people are found and noted to be running against the administrator.
Guwahati Police alone fine amounting Rs 1,18,500 from the violators and Guwahati Traffic Police fined Rs 1,29,500 from the traffic violations. During the checking, 11 vehicles were detailed by the traffic officials, and 350 matters were sent to Court.
Guwahati Police tweeted, “Help us make Guwahati safe & secure. Few glimpses of our curfew & Covid guideline violation checking in & around the city. Today fines amounting to Rs 1,18,500/ have been realised from violators. Let’s fight the battle against #COVID19 together.”
Guwahati Traffic Police tweeted in Tweeter, “Guwahati Traffic is out there working to keep you safe from #Covid19. Pls don’t violate the guidelines. Today fines amounting to Rs. 1,29,500 were collected for traffic violations. 11 vehicles detained and 305 matters sent to Court.”
