Guwahati News Desk: Cinema halls, multiplexes and theatres resumes across the nation today after a long gap of seven months. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued guidelines which include 50 per cent seating capacity, social distancing measuring 6 ft inside halls, adequate protection kit for the staff and phone numbers for “contact tracing” are some of the mandatory rules to be followed by movie goers.
Screening of movies will not be allowed in containment zones. However, thermal screening, hand sanitization and wearing of mask is strictly mandatory. Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh are the states where multiplexes and theaters will be closed.
