Guwahati News Desk: The actor from the Northeast Indian state of Nagaland, Lanuakum Ao, passed away on Sunday (December 5).
According to sources, Ao was admitted in the Christian Institute of Health Science and Research (CIHSR) in Dimapur where he breathed his last.
According to reports, the 31-year-old actor died of kidney ailments.
Regarding the actor, he belonged to the Longsa village in Nagaland’s Mokokchung district.
He gained national recognition and praise for his memorable role in the popular film ‘Axone’, which highlighted the life of people from the Northeast region staying in Delhi.
In addition, he had starred in films like ‘NSR: The Jade’ and the web series ‘The Last Hour’.
Reacting to the news of Ao’s demise, ‘Axone’ co-star Lin Laishram took to Instagram and shared a poster from the film with the caption, “Rest in peace my friend”.
Moreover, his fans along with his industry friends also took to the comments section remembering Ao, including Aahana Kumra, who posted several broken heart emojis and actor Adil Hussian, who wrote, “Very tragic that he passed away… May his soul red in peace.”
Furthermore, Ao’s last screen appearance will be in an upcoming feature film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and directed by Anubhav Sinha.
