Guwahati News Desk: North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFi) observed 26th Foundation Day at NEDFi Convention Centre in Guwahati on Monday.
The NEDFi expressed its gratitude on their special day to all the artisan, weavers, and entrepreneurs for their support and co-operation and also thanked their customers and craft lovers, professional experts, and design institutions, government departments and sponsors, and all the stakeholders.
On the special occasion, NEDFi organized an exhibition of handloom and handicraft products developed by the artisans of rural areas of the northeast and make the foundation more attractive among the people.
Many handloom and handmade products were displayed in the exhibition which has become the center of attraction among the visitors.
On the special occasion of the 26th Foundation Day, the NEDFi to provide market linkage to the artisans and weavers of NER by organising “Clearance Sale of Artisanal Products of NER” from August 9 to September 8 for a month which were out at NEDFi House at Dispur and NEDFi Haat at Rupnagar in Guwahati City.
The exhibition was organised as per COVID protocol following the guidelines provided by the government of Assam.
The event was organised for a month to avoid and restrict the rush of the visitors. The main objective of the programme is to help the artisans and entrepreneurs in the marketing of their craft products as they were completely affected by the ongoing pandemic due to COVID-19.
The NEDFi invited all their customers to visit the beautiful exhibition to support the artisans and entrepreneurs in the pandemic.
