Guwahati News Desk: The government of Assam has imposed a new directive on Saturday amid COVID-19.
The new directive will come into force from Wednesday as all the districts to be shut down by 4 pm except seven districts that are currently under lockdown as all the market, shops, establishments etc to close down by 3pm.
The new directives is not applicable for Kamrup Metro, says Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in a press conference.
According to the sources, the district reports more than 100 COVID-19 cases in a single day will undergo complete lockdown.
The new directives have been issued by the State government due to sudden increase of COVID-19 cases.
As the new report says, local alcohol can be the cause for the sudden increase in the COVID-19 positive cases in the State.
