Guwahati News Desk: Government of Assam to evict all new houses constructed in the hills in Guwahati as announced by the Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in a press meet after the Budget Session 2021-2022 in the Assam Assembly on Friday.
According to the sources, many new houses were seen constructed in the hills of Guwahati without proper planning and illegally which leads to erosion and flood in the city. Many people use to buy annual patta land in the hills and construct house as those lands were sold and purchase in low price for which people migrate to Guwahati and settle up in the hills.
After the announcement of the eviction, the hills of Guwahati will be monitor by the administration with the help of drones and sharp watch which to be places on the hills of Guwahati.
On the other hand, CM Sarma thanked Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog for presenting the budget session of 2021-2022 at the cost of Rs 1 lakh 7 thousand. The budget is for the middle-class people of the State, CM Sarma stated.
