Guwahati News Desk: One died in a massive landslide at the Pandu area near Maligaon in Guwahati on Thursday.
The landslide occurred due to the heavy rainfall in the city late at night as the deceased one was identified as Pratima Banik and the other injured one was received major injuries immediately admitted to the nearest hospital.
According to the sources, the incident took place after a guard wall collapsed into it.
The landslide has become a major issue in the hilly areas within Guwahati City during the monsoon places.
Many houses were still illegally constructed in the hill areas in eksonia lands which leads a massive landslide.
Every year Guwahati witness a massive landslide due to heavy rainfall.
