Guwahati News Desk: A dead body of Royal Bengal Tiger was found at Karuabari in Kaziranga which is said to be gunned down by forest guards.
According to the sources, the adult tiger was shot by the forest guards in self-defence at the Japoripothar area.
It was said that the tiger has come out from the Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve to a village.
The villagers immediately informed the Kaziranga forest officials about the tiger and they immediately sent a team to search for it.
Later, the forest guards successfully traced the tiger but the tiger has come very close to the guard officials and attempted to attack the them for which the tiger was shot down in self-defence.
According to the sources, the tiger has come out and reached the village on Wednesday as his dead body was found on Friday.
The administration of KNPTR has already started an enquiry to track the whole incident to find out any witness during the operation.
