Guwahati News Desk: Delhi government has increased penalty of not wearing a mask in the capital city from Rs. 500 rupees to Rs. 2000 rupees on Thursday.
Besides, the government has urged people and banned entering of large numbers of people to celebrate Chhath puja at ponds, lakes and other water bodies due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said a total of 1,413 ICU beds were made available for COVID-19 patients out of which 663 beds are being provided to Delhi government hospital. Around 750 ICU beds will be made available by the central government. All hospitals in Delhi have postponed non-critical operation.
Kejriwal holds a brief meeting with the media and later met Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal to give a brief explanation on current COVID situated in the capital.
