Guwahati News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flags off 100th Kisan Rail from Sangola district to Maharashtra to Shalimar district in West Bengal on Monday.
The Kisan Rail to carry vegetables like cabbages, chillies, onions, etc and fruits like custard apples, grapes, oranges and bananas.
The centre has extended a subsidy of 50 per cent on transportation of vegetables and fruits.
The first Kisan Rail was introduced in the country back on August 7th this year from Devlali to Dhanapur.
