Guwahati News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announced on Sunday, about introducing the ‘Rashtragaan’ portal, ahead of Independence Day.
While addressing in his Mann Ki Baat monthly radio programme, PM Modi urged the citizens to sing the national anthem on Independence Day (15th August), in order to create a “rashtra gaan” record and said that it’s an effort on part of the Union ministry of culture to get the “maximum number of Indians” to sing the national anthem together.
Meanwhile, the Centre has created an online portal for this purpose too.
PM Modi went on to inform that the initiative is being taken by the central government under the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and that the online portal made for this purpose has been named as “rashtragaan.in” portal.
Regarding the portal, he informed that anyone can record and upload their own videos singing the national anthem, and by doing so, they can easily connect with the campaign.
A government notification declared, “Let us target more than 75 lakhs of our citizens…Let us create a record on 15th August 2021.”
As addressed by PM Modi, 15th August of 2021 is a special occasion since the country will be entering its 75th year of Independence and the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav is not about the government but about the sentiments of 1.30 billion Indians.
