Guwahati News Desk: COVID-19 positive cases in Kamrup Metro is seen declining after new 158 cases were reported on Wednesday.
Guwahati City which falls under Kamrup Metro is the economic hub of Northeast India as declining cases is a very good direction for its people.
In the last few weeks, the second wave of COVID-19 has hit the economy of Kamrup Metro.
The administration has imposed odd-even formula for vehicles to ply and a curfew was imposed from 2 pm to 5 am to control the rising cases.
Recently, cases in Kamrup Metro has increased above 1,500 as today it has declined to 158 cases which is a good sign.
The administration also bans inter-district communication looking at the current situation which can be said one of the necessary steps taken by the government to curb the virus.
New 3,386 positive cases were reported in Assam in the last 24 hours with 36 death reported.
3 people died due to COVID-19 in Kamrup Metro as the overall positivity rate reaches 2.60 per cent.
A total of 1,30,053 COVID tests were conducted and active cases reached 38,306.
