Guwahati News Desk: Gauhati High court has issued an order on Friday for the educational institutions that students will not be forcing students from attending online classes if they do not repay the monthly fee.
According to the order, Gauhati High Court has warned the private educational institutions who were charging high amount of monthly fees from the students during the pandemic.
The GHC also ordered the educational institutions to reduce the school admission including the monthly fee due to COVID-19 situation across the State.
A petition was filed regarding the reduction of monthly fees during the COVID-19 pandemic as the educational institution was charging a huge amount of fees even during the lockdown which has faced a hardship for the parents to pay during pandemic.
GHC also ordered to the private educational institutions to submit all the expenditure and deposit details to the fee regulatory committee as the committee will take further decision on reduction of monthly fees.
It was also order to the institutions once after the fee is reduced the school authority must refund the entire remaining amount to the parents. According to the sources, around 200 private schools have sent objection application to the Gauhati High Court opposing the fee reduction matter.
