Guwahati News Desk: A robbery case has been reported at Amingaon in North Guwahati on Friday.
According to the sources, a huge amount of Rs 3 lakh has been robbed from the State Bank CSP agent in broad daylight. The incident took place at the time when CSP agent from SBI made his way towards Guwahati and taking that chance, the miscreants robbed the huge amount.
As per sources, two robbers were engaged in the incident who came in a bike to rob the cash from the agent standing by the roadside. The incident created a huge panic situation in the Amingaon area and also among the people. The place where the SBI was situated in Amingaon is the link road towards Nalbari via Hajo and the roads towards IIT Guwahati. The road also shares links with Jalukbari on one side and Changsari on the other side.
The CSP agent had reportedly withdrawn the cash of Rs 3 lakh from the State Bank – Axis Bank when the incident took place. Soon after the incident, an FIR was registered in the Police Station and the department has started their search operation.
Amingaon is one of the busy places in North Guwahati having District Transport Offices, industries, banks, and multiple hardware shops and people visits the area for business purposes, as said by the sources.
