Guwahati News Desk: Rupsi Airport set up at Kokrajhar district of Assam is ready for operations under the scheme Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS).
According to the official statement of Airports Authority of India(AAI) it is likely to start from January 2021.
The re-development of the airport estimated Rs 69 Cr.
And it has also received its license by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
Newest in the RCS route, the airport will provide direct connectivity to the cities like Guwahati in Assam and Kolkata in West Bengal.
Rupsi spread across 337 acres of land comprising of a terminal building with an area of 3,500 sqm.
The terminal during the peak hours can process 200 passengers as the airport is enabled with 10 check-in counters. The runway on the other hand is suitable for landing ATR-72 type of Aircraft.
