Guwahati News Desk: The COVID-19 hospital at Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati has been temporarily shut down by the government for the next 15 days.
The COVID-19 hospital was shut down for few days because of less detention of patients, poor infrastructure and shrub typhus infection.
The hospital was constructed at a cost of Rs 21.46 crore in Sarusajai. According to the sources, the hospital will reopen to tackle the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
The 300-bed COVID-19 hospital was constructed in just 20 days to combat the ongoing pandemic as it was built with help from Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
All the COVID-19 patients across the Kamrup Metro were kept here to treat the virus.
