Guwahati News Desk: Arvind Joshi, a known face in the Gujarati theatre and film circuit and father to actor Sharman Joshi passed away at the age of 84 due to age-related issues on Friday.
Veteran actor Sarita Joshi, Arvind’s sister-in-law and told the media that he died at around 3.30 am on Friday at the Nanavati Hospital.
According to sources, “He was suffering neurological issues and had a chest infection. He was there at the hospital for more than a week in the ICU”.
The veteran actor was cremated at Vile Parle Crematorium in the presence of close family members.
Joshi was best known for acting in Hindi movies such as Sholay, Love Marriage and Naam. Whereas, in Gujarati cinema, he starred in movies “Garvo Garasiyo” and “Gher Gher Matina Chula”, among others.
