Guwahati News Desk: The Fresh Queen Pineapple is a GI tagged fruit of Tripura boarded for the New Delhi market on Monday.
The Sikkim based organisation working objectively for the MOVCDNER project in the different states in northeast India initiated by providing market links to the Farmers Producers Companies.
The organisation has planned for its marketing beyond the northeast.
The first consignment of 0.54 MT of fresh Queen Pineapply was boarded to the national capital by IndiGo Airlines from Agartala city of Tripura.
The Queen Pineapply was sourced from Chokhreng Organic Producer Company of West Tripura.
The Sikkim State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (SIMFED) a Sikkim government organisation in Gangtok is planning to produce similar fruits and vegetables from the Farmers Producers Company across the northeastern States.
Amid the COVID-19 situation which leads to restrictions and movements, the SIMFED has taken the lead in providing national marketing linkages to the Farmers Producers Company.
