Sri Lanka gains victory against West Indies by 20 runs, Australia beats Bangladesh by 8 wickets

Guwahati News Desk: In Thursday’s T20 World Cup match between Sri Lanka and West Indies, Sri Lanka won the match by 20 runs.

The match took place at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabib on Thursday.

Defending the target of 190, Sri Lanka restricted the opponent team to 169/8 with a superb bowling show by Wanindu Hasaranga (2/19) and Binura Fernando (2/24).

In addition, Charith Asalanka top-scored with his 68 runs. He added 91 runs for the second wicket with opener Pathum Nissanka (51) who smashed his second fifty of the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Regarding the match between Australia and Bangladesh, team Australia defeated Bangladesh by a total of 8 wickets.

The match took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Thursday.

In Thursday’s match David Warner contributed at the top of the innings before Mitch Marsh finished the game with a six.

The Australian skipper Aaron Finch blasted 40 runs off 20 balls and played a key role in chasing down the 74-run target with eight wickets and 82 balls remaining.

On the other hand, Bangladesh ended their innings at 73 all-out in 15 overs.
