Guwahati News Desk: Following a raid at a party on a cruise ship, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s 23-year-old sonAryan Khan was arrested on Sunday.
The incident took place at a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.
The mentioned raid was carried out during Sunday night by the Narcotics Control Bureau or NCB, who boarded the ship disguised as passengers.
According to officials, the party began after the ship left Mumbai and was at sea.
As informed by the NCB, the high-profile raid yielded 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA and 5 grams of MD.
According to NCB, Aryan was among the eight people questioned after the raids. They said, “All eight, including Aryan Khan, are being questioned. Based on their statements further action will be taken.”
In addition, there were two women among the eight questioned. The eight people were Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra, Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant. Of the eight, three including Aryan Khan were taken for a medical test.
During the operation, the suspects were searched and different drugs were recovered from them, which they had hidden in their clothes, undergarments and purses.
Moreover, the charges brought against Aryan Khan also included of purchase, possession and use of banned substances.
Furthermore, the cruise company named “Cordelia Cruises” released a statement on Sunday, asserting that it had nothing to do with the incident.
The Chief Executive Officer and President, Waterways Leisure Tourism Pvt Ltd., Jurgen Bailom, said in the statement, “Cordelia Cruises is in no way, directly or indirectly, connected to this incident. Cordelia Cruises had chartered its ship for a private event to a Delhi-based event management company.”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan was seen leaving his home and heading for his lawyer’s office shortly before the arrest was confirmed.
