Guwahati News Desk: Sudan will be removed from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism said President Donald Trump on Monday.

Trump agreed to remove only if Sudan pays a whooping amount of USD 335 million compensation to American terror victims, although the deal doesn’t please much.

The announcement came just two weeks ahead of the US presidential election.

Trump tweeted: “GREAT news! New government of Sudan, which is making great progress, agreed to pay $335 MILLION to U.S. terror victims and families. Once deposited, I will lift Sudan from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list. At long last, JUSTICE for the American people and BIG step for Sudan!”
