Guwahati News Desk: A massive traffic jam was seen at Maligaon due to the ongoing construction of a new Maligaon flyover in Guwahati City.
The rush was seen during the weekdays as half of the roads were blocked on both sides for construction.
The flyover construction has started from Maligaon to Kamakhya Gate covering a distance of 2.9 km.
The flyover is constructed under the Public Works Department (PWD) with a budget worth Rs 420.75 crore.
The massive traffic jam is expected to stay for the next three years, until the completion of the flyover.
The administration has requested the commuters to travel via Lokhra who were heading towards Lal Ganesh, Beltola, Hatigaon, Six Mile etc.
