Guwahati News Desk: Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region Dr Jitendra Singh laid the foundation stone of a new student’s hostel at Cotton University in Guwahati on Wednesday.
The university hostel was funded by NEC, DoNER to provide better facilities to the students as the university was earlier set up as Cotton College in the year 1901 which is the first-ever degree college of the northeast, named after the British Governor Mr Cotton.
