Guwahati News Desk: Two persons who were rescued from abductors met the State Environment and Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on Friday to express their gratitude to him for helping in their rescue.
Earlier on June 30, Jayanta Kachari and Kushal Kalita involved in afforestation work were abducted from Garbhanga Reserve Forest.
Soon after the abduction, Suklabaidya immediately called on the top police officials to launch an operation to rescue the person who was abducted.
On July 3, both Jayanta and Kushal were successfully rescued at Rani in Guwahati along the Assam-Meghalaya inter-state border at around 5 pm.
During the meet, Minister Suklabaidya felicitated both of them and enquired about their health and well-being.
The Minister also thanked the police department for successfully conducting the rescue operation and rescuing the abducted persons.
