Guwahati News Desk: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the Union Budget 2022-23, announced a national tele-mental health in order to improve its mental health services network, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision has been taken by the Government as the COVID-19 pandemic has been negativity affecting the mental health of individuals. The Central Government stated that the tele-mental health programme will be operated under a network of 23 mental health sectors of excellence with Bengaluru based National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS).
