Guwahati News Desk: In the recent update Guwahati City might get a new flyover in the Chapaidang area near Narengi.
The flyover might be made over the railway track that passes over the Chapaidang road which actually does not have railway gate.
The decision of constructing the flyover over the railway track works might be done by the Public Works Department (PWD) as lots of accidents were reported in the particular area.
The residence staying in the Chapaidang area does not have an alternate road rather than crossing the unauthorised railway track which sometimes becomes hard for the commuters to cross without having signals.
Looking at the view of the early accidents the department is looking to eliminate accidents by taking a major step of the flyover.
Earlier, a bike was hit by a moving train in the same area as the rider died on spot and the pillion was seriously injured.
