Guwahati News Desk: Former Chief Minister of Assam Sarbanda Sonowal takes oath as a minister in the revamped cabinet on Wednesday.
After the cabinet expansion by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be five ministers from Northeast India as it was expected to have 27 OBC leaders out of which five will be in the cabinet.
This is for the first time reshuffle in his council of Ministers by PM Modi. Meanwhile, one member each from the Christian, Muslim and Sikh community and the two will be from the Buddhist community which has been included.
43 new ministers have sworn as here the list of politician who takes oath are Bhagwanth Khuba, Kapil Moreshwar Patil, Pratima Bhoumik, Dr Subhas Sarkar, Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar, Bishweswar Tudu, Shantanu Thakur, Dr Munjapara Mahendrabhai, John Barla, Dr L Murugan, Nisith Pramanik, Pankaj Choudhary, Anupriya Singh Patel, Dr Satya Pal Singh Baghel, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Shobha Karandlaje, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Darshana Vikram Jardosh, Meenakashi Lekhi, Annpurna Devi, A Narayanaswamy, Kaushal Kishore, Ajay Bhatt, B L Verma, Ajay Kumar, Chauhan Devusinh, Narayan Tatu Rane, Sarbananda Sonowal, Dr Virendra Kumar, Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Ramchandra Prasad Singh, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Pashu Pati Kumar Paras, Kiren Rijiju, Raj Kumar Singh, Hardeep Singh Puri, Mansukh Mandaviya, Bhupender Yadav, Parshottam Rupala, G Kishan Reddy and Anurag Singh Thakur.
