Guwahati News Desk: Under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) a yellow alert has been sounded in Delhi, with the aim of preventing the current COVID-19 positivity rate from increasing any further.

The announcement about the yellow alert was made by the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday.

While making the announcement, Kejriwal emphasized that the step was taken as the COVID-19 positivity rate has been above 0.5% for the past few days in the national capital.

Keeping in view the current scenario of Covid, the following guidelines have been introduced in Delhi –

1) Cinema halls and multiplexes have been shut till further orders.

2) Shops in malls and shopping complexes will open based on an odd-even formula from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

3) Only one weekly market per zone with 50 per cent of vendors will be allowed to open.

4) Restaurants can function with 50 per cent capacity from 8 am to 10 p.m.

5) Bars can also operate with 50 per cent capacity from 12 noon to 10 p.m.

6) Cinema halls, banquet halls, spas, gyms, outdoor yoga activity, amusement parks, stadia, swimming pools, schools, colleges and educational institutions are not allowed to function.

7) Private offices can function with up to 50 per cent of the staff.

Moreover, the Delhi government has been trying its best to prevent the eruption of more positive cases of Covid-19.
