Guwahati News Desk: At least 90 workers and staff members of the Zaloni tea garden tested positive for COVID-19 in the Dibrugarh district in Assam.
After identifying the rising number of COVID-19 positive cases, the administration has shut down the tea garden and declared it as a containment zone with immediate effect
According to the sources, the health officials reached the tea garden to take a review of the situation as a large number of employees tested positive together which has created a panic situation in the area.
The rest of the staff working with the Zaloni tea garden were asked to go for mandatory quarantine as the administration has issued a notification to the concerned officers to take the necessary steps to close down all markets in the area if needed.
