Guwahati News Desk: Two people were arrested by Assam Police in connection with pangolin skin in Karbi Anglong on Sunday.
Police officials successfully seized 10 Geckos small lizards and 10 kg of Pangolin skin during a joint operation conducted by Asam Police and Forest Department team.
During the operation, two people were immediately arrested in connection with the incident.
The operation and arrested information was announced by Special DGP GP Singh via Twitter said, “@karbianglongpol and Forest team recovered 10 geckos and 10 KG of Pangolin Skin and arrested two persons”.
All the seized 10 Geckos small lizards and 10 kg of Pangolin skin is worth 3,000 dollars per kilogram in the international market i.e. Rs 2,23,831.50 in India.
A cases have been registered against the accused and the seized items were sent to forest department for further investigation.
