Guwahati News Desk: Two back-to-back massive bombing attacks kill 13 United States service members including 72 Afghans’ residents outside Kabul International Airport in Afghanistan on Thursday.
According to the sources, the massive blast took place as the US and the other nations were conducting an evacuation of Afghan citizens and Afghan allies from Afghanistan after the militant group Taliban occupied the national capital Kabul including the nation on August 15.
As per the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan told more than 72 people were killed in the massive blast and around 140 people were injured.
In a report released by the Captain Bill Urban of United States Central Command, at least 13 US service members were killed in the blast as they were engaged in the evacuation drive of the Afghan citizens.
The situation in Afghanistan is itself a panic from the day the Taliban seized Afghanistan and the two continuous blasts had put people in more shock. Afghan residents were trying to leave the nation from the Taliban’s fear.
United States Presidents Joe Biden put a comment after the Afghan blast in Kabul Airport said, “Our heroes are trying every moment to evacuate the Afghans from the hands of Taliban as evacuation drive was going on in Kabul Airport but the blast occurred which kills our US service officials including Afghans. We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.”
ISIS in Khorasan which is known as ISIS-K claimed that the ISIS militant carried out the massive suicide blast. US President has ordered the US military commanders to develop operational plans against the ISIS-K.
