Guwahati News Desk: At least two persons were injured and three houses were gutted in a fire that broke down in Jankhona village of Baligaon area on Saturday morning.
Four fire tenders from Jorhat Fire Station were rushed to the spot and douse the flames and stop the fire from spreading further.
The houses gutted in fire belonged to Nanda Das, Ramen Das and Pankaj Das, brothers living in the same compound were burnt.
Injured Prem Kanta Das has been taken to Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh for treatment and the other Babu Das has been admitted to Sanjivani Hospital.
However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be known. The neighbours informed that around 6.30 am they heard someone shouting for help followed by a loud noise of an LPG cylinder explosion.
