Guwahati News Desk: In the last 24 hours, three terrorists have been killed by the security forces in Kashmir Valley, in two separate encounters.

According to sources, one of the terrorist who was killed in the Srinagar encounter, has been identified to be Aamir Riyaz of Khrew Pulwama, affiliated with proscribed terror outfit Mujahideen Gazwatul Hind.

Informing about the event, IG JK Police, Vijay Kumar, said, “Terrorist killed in Srinagar Encounter identified as Aamir Riyaz of Khrew Pulwama affiliated with proscribed terror outfit Mujahideen Gazwatul Hind. He was a relative of one of the accused of the LetPora terror attack and was assigned to carry out fidayeen attack.”

Sources added that he had also shot a video before carrying out the attack in Srinagar but was neutralised by security forces before that.

In addition, the recorded video has now gone viral on social media.

Meanwhile, the other two terrorists, were killed in another encounter that took place in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Regarding the second encounter, both were gunned down by the security forces, and both of them belonged to the Hizb Ul Mujahideen outfit. In addition, the police asserted that the terrorists were involved in recruiting young boys into terror outfits.

Further informing about the details of the second encounter, IG JK Police, Vijay Kumar, said, “Two terrorists killed. Killed terrorists identified as District commanders of HM Shiraz Molvi & Yawar Bhat. Shiraz has been active since 2016 & was involved in recruiting innocent youth into terror ranks & several civilian killings. A big success for us.”

Currently, both the operations have been called off by the security forces. However, a huge arms and ammunition cache was recovered from the two mentioned sites.

Furthermore, sources have hinted about secret agencies preparing a list of terrorists in the Kashmir valley.
