Guwahati News Desk: Four bodies including two children were recovered from the Brahmaputra river in Jorhat on Wednesday. The four people were feared drowned in a boat mishap on Tuesday.
The four people who lost their lives in the boat mishap were identified as Razia Tikala (24), Sophia Chauhan (9), Sahil Chauhan (15) and Rajiv Rai (30).
Soon after the incident took place, a team of SDRF personnel rushed on the spot and after a long effort, the team successfully recovered the bodies.
The four deceased were among the picnickers who arrived at Spur 9 at Baghmara on Tuesday.
According to the sources, around 10 to 12 people were in the boat while the boatman and others had saved themselves while the four went missing.
