Guwahati News Desk: One Constable and three Home Guards were suspended for extorting money from trucks on National Highway 37 on Monday.
According to the sources, the four personnel were immediately removed from their duties in the West Police of Guwahati.
The incident came into light after a video footage leaked of money extortion from trucks plying on the highway.
After the video came out, an immediate inquiry was put and they were removed.
The four Police personnel were identified as Dulal Kumar, Nasir Ali and Ranjit Hazarika of Garchuk Police Station and Naba Kr Kalita of Jalukbari Police Station.
