Guwahati News Desk: The inter-district movement to resume from August 16 in Assam was announced by Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday.
According to the sources, the total curfew in all the districts in Assam will be lifted as all the shops, business establishments and markets to remain open till 4 pm as the curfew timing to remain the same at 5 pm.
In Lakhimpur and Golaghat district, the curfew has been lifted and all the shops and market places to open till 1 pm, says Assam CM Sarma.
Assam Chief Minister also further added that if the COVID-19 situation was seen improved in the coming days then all the shops will remain open till 6 pm in all the district.
On Sunday, new 784 COVID-19 cases were detected in Assam as active cases reach 11,285.
The positivity rate reaches 0.86 per cent in Assam and the recovery rate reaches 96.84 per cent.
The inter-district movement to open in Assam after the COVID-19 situation was seen increased but the curfew was still imposed to control the increasing rate.
