Guwahati News Desk: A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Delhi’s Ranjeet Nagar on Friday.
As per the sources, the incident took place when the girl was playing outside her home, when her neighbour lured her to a secluded place and forced himself on her.
Meanwhile, a CCTV footage has surfaced where the accused was seen with the minor girl at the busy street. In the video, the minor girl was later seen following the accused after he was successful in luring the victim towards his selected area.
The incident came to light after the minor girl informed her parents about the matter.
Moreover, the Delhi Police has registered a rape case against the accused under the relevant section of Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) in connection to the incident.
In addition, two police teams have been formed to nab the accused, and police are further probing the matter to see if the accused was involved in any other criminal cases prior to this.
Furthermore, the Delhi Commission of Women has issued a notice to Delhi Police regarding the incident.
However, the girl’s statement is yet to be recorded as she is under observation at a hospital in Delhi.
