Guwahati News Desk: A body of a 9-year-old girl who was missing since August 28 and was recovered from alongside the Doigrung River on Friday.
The body was found after a search of a week, as the girl was missing along with another 11-year-old minor child. The body was spotted by the locals and they immediately informed the police officials.
Earlier, the 11-year-old girl’s body was recovered from a forest of the nearby village on Monday as both the minors were reported to be missing from Lokhiram Rongphar village under Chockihola Police Station in Karbi Anglong district.
According to the sources, both the minor girls went fishing in the Doigrung river last Saturday morning and didn’t return home which creates chaos and panic situations at homes and their villages. After their missing have been reported several students organizations and villagers joined in a massive drive to find out the missing girls in a vast area including the nearby areas.
As per the investigation, it was suggested the involvement of the locals in the murder of the minor girls will be probe under sections 302, 201, 34 of IPC. Police officials have started their investigation to find out the actual death of the minor girl as the involvement of others.
