Guwahati News Desk: An Afghan national was arrested by Assam Police from Biswanath district in Assam on Friday.
The Afghan national had been remanded to legal custody on Sunday by Biswanath court. As per sources, the police officials arrested the man without proper documents.
The Afghan national was arrested while he was about to leave Lakhimpur bound bus from Biswanath district.
As per reports, the man entered India on December 4, 2018 as he was linked with garments business in Assam including rest of India. During the interrogation with the Assam Police the Afghan national was able to show his passport and a visa but the police officials suspected the documents to be fake.
