Guwahati News Desk: An Assamese short film ‘Swansong‘ a film by Nibir Akash Baruah was now recognised by leading online digital platform Movie Saints.
The short film ‘Swansong‘ was streaming live and released on February 24. The film was made available at pre-order for Rs 20 in the Movie Saints website.
The plot of the film revolves around two brothers Prantor and Bedanta. Bedanta who is the younger of two returns home after receiving the news that their mother has died . As he returns home he discovers that his brother didn’t perform any rituals for their deceased mother. Thus the already strained relationship between them further detoriates.
The film ‘Swansong‘ received multiple prestigious officials selections in the international platform at Abbey film festival, Noble International Film Festival and Awards, Sessions by lift- Off Global Network, Falcon International festival, Rameshwaram International Film Festival.
The film also entered in the finalist at International Moving film festival and Honorable mention Madras Independent Film Festival.
In conversation with Hello Guwahati, the Director of the short film Swansong Nibir Akash Baruah said, “Its a feels good to be a part of moviesaints as it is considered to be a coveted platform for the independent filmmakers besides selection in moviesaints also means we would reach a larger audience”.
